What to contact us about

  • Feedback or bug reports about the salary checker
  • Questions about how the benchmarks are calculated or their reference year
  • Data corrections, if you believe a figure is out of date or inaccurate
  • Licensing and reuse of the open dataset, or media and partnership enquiries
  • Privacy questions — see also our Privacy Policy

Reporting a data error

Data corrections are the messages we act on fastest. To make a report useful, include the tool or page you are looking at, the relevant country and figure, the figure you believe is correct, and the official source you are comparing against — a national statistics office release, an OECD, Eurostat or World Bank table, or another documented source. We check the report against the underlying series and, if it is confirmed, correct the dataset itself so the calculator, the comparison table, the country pages and the downloadable files all update together. You can read how the figures are built in the first place on the methodology page.

Response times and languages

This is an independently run site, not a support desk, so replies typically take one to five working days. Messages in English and Estonian are answered directly; other languages may take longer. We cannot provide individual salary negotiation advice, legal or tax guidance, or personalised pay reviews — the calculator and the country guides are the help we can offer, and both are free to use.

Press, research and reuse

Journalists and researchers are welcome to use the benchmark dataset with attribution; the machine-readable files and licence terms are on the data page. If you need a specific cut of the data — for example one sector across all 20 countries, or a historical reference year — ask and we will export it for you. For advertising or partnership enquiries, use the same address and state clearly what you are proposing; note that we do not publish sponsored content or paid links inside the guides.

What happens to your message

There is no contact form on this site and no message database: writing to us means sending an ordinary email, which is stored in that mailbox and used only to answer you and, where relevant, to fix the dataset. We do not add correspondents to a mailing list or sell their addresses. Our email provider necessarily processes and stores messages to deliver this correspondence; we delete messages once they are no longer needed. The salary you enter in most calculators is not part of any of this and stays in your browser. The US Net Salary Calculator sends the tax inputs described in the Privacy Policy through our server to PolicyEngine solely to calculate the requested result. See the Privacy Policy.
