Acceptance of terms
By using CheckMyPayRate ("the service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What the service does
CheckMyPayRate provides salary benchmarks and financial comparison tools using documented public datasets and user-selected assumptions. The US Net Salary Calculator also requests calculations from PolicyEngine’s tax model. Results are general estimates for informational purposes only.
No professional advice
Nothing on this site constitutes financial, legal, career or tax advice. Averages are statistical estimates and may not reflect your specific role, experience, employer or region. Do not make employment or financial decisions based on this site alone.
Accuracy and availability
The service is provided "as is". While we source data from official statistical agencies, we do not warrant that the figures are complete, up to date or error-free, and we do not guarantee that the service will be available at all times.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including attempting to disrupt it, overloading it with automated requests, or using it in any way that violates applicable law.
Intellectual property
The design and text of this site are the property of the site operator. Source data is subject to the respective terms of the OECD, Eurostat, the World Bank and other named providers.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, the service or its results.
Advertising and third-party content
The service is free to use. Google AdSense publisher-verification code is present, but no live advertising units are currently displayed. If advertising is activated later, ads will be clearly labelled. We do not control the content of individual ads and are not responsible for advertisers’ products, services or claims. How advertising data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

Pages on this site link to official statistical sources, such as the OECD and Eurostat, and to other third-party websites. Those sites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or availability.
Data sources, licence and attribution
Salary benchmarks are derived from OECD average annual wages and Eurostat national-accounts sector ratios. Other tools use OECD Taxing Wages and World Bank datasets, while the US Net Salary Calculator requests tax calculations from PolicyEngine. Our calculations and source-specific limitations are documented on the Methodology page. The downloadable derived benchmark dataset may be reused with attribution to checkmypayrate.com; underlying data remains subject to each provider’s terms.
Eligibility
The service is intended for general adult audiences and is not directed at children. It has no accounts, no registration and no payments, so no age verification is performed.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence are unaffected. Questions, complaints or correction requests can be sent through the Contact page.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The current version takes effect when it is published on this page.
